How does it work? What to expect when creating a free online store.
Explaining our FREE custom online stores in 7 (9 with fundraising) steps
Step 1: CHOOSE YOUR APPAREL AND DESIGNS
Lets get things started off right. This is were we work with the customers to get the GOODS (Goals, Objectives, Obstacles, Desired Results, and Success). Here we choose the perfect apparel for your team or club, we pair that with your team artwork. If you need artwork, our artists will create logos to help make your apparel look amazing. We also ask if you have a planned in hands date, when you want the store to close, or if you want to add fundraising to the store.
Step 2: (Optional) SET YOUR FUNDRAISING GOALS
Sandlot provides an à la carte version of fundraising. Our goal is to help you reach your goals. Here the client chooses the fundraising amounts based on the goals of the team. We will even create a tracker to that your team, coaches, friends and fans can see how close you are to your goal. Do you want to earn $10 per sale of a tee shirt? DONE! Do you want to earn $5 per sale of a tee shirt? DONE! This is 100% up to the team to determine the amount of fundraising you’d like to offer. Keep in mind, if you want to offer $35 tee shirts so you can earn $20 for your team…you may not sell many tee shirts. We will help guide you along the way.
Step 3: SANDLOT BUILDS CUSTOM STORE
After getting all of the information, designs, apparel, due dates, fundraising, etc, Sandlot creates a custom online store. We populate it with all the gear, merch, apparel, equipment you asked for.
Step 4: PROMOTE YOUR STORE
We send you the link to your custom online store. From there, it’s up to you to promote it through your friends, family, teammates and organization. Teams see the most success when they share it on social media pages or send the link home in team newsletters or messaging apps.
Step 5: PURCHASING GOODS ONLINE
This is the best part. This is when everyone gets to shop. The store is open 24/7 for the allotted time requested by the team. You can shop while at work, at home, in the bleachers, anywhere you can get online. You can purchase from your phone, computer, or even tablet.
Step 6: (Optional) EARN MONEY FOR TEAM
Did you choose a fundraising option? While the store is open, each purchase earns more money for your team. How much do you ask? That’s entirely up to the team. You can add any amount of fundraising to any store. Add $2, $5, $10 per piece. If you need help, Sandlot will guide you into best practice based on the size of your organization. New to the stores will be a tracker so that all of your teammates, coaches, fans and family can see if you’re going to reach your fundraising goal.
Step 7: DECORATE THE APPAREL
After the store closes, we order or pull all the product. We decorate it in our Saginaw, MI production facility. This process can take up to 10 days depending on the particular product and the time of the year. (Custom Slides, UA, Adidas, and other products sometimes takes longer to ship to our facility if we don’t have them in stock)
Step 8: PACKAGE AND SHIP GEAR
After decoration, we review orders and get ready for the shipping process. We bag and separate orders and ship to one of our 3 retail locations OR if you selected to ship it to your home, we drop it in the mail.
Step 9: (Optional) FUNDRAISING MONEY SENT
If you selected to add fundraising to you store, this is the time that we send out all money earned to your team, coach or organization!! We can drop it in the mail or pick it up in the store.
Step 9: GET THE MERCH
This is the best part! Teammates, fans, families, and friends get their CUSTOM TEAM GEAR!!
